The Physics Department at the male and female
branch are an arising department in Rabigh-Faculty of Science and Art. It is
our pleasure to welcome the first students enrolled in the Physics Department
at the beginning of the academic year 2012/2013.
Because of its relevance to understanding the universe in
which we live, physics is the foundation upon which all other sciences are
based. So we are keen to introduce the fundamental principles of physics, in
both its theoretical and experimental parts, using the best scientific methodologies.
We are also keen to link the concepts of physics to the life around us;
therefore students will realize that physics is not a stiff science but it is
strongly related to our life and to the beauty of life as well.
In order to achieve the objectives of the Physics Department,
the Faculty has chosen distinguished faculty members, lecturers, and teaching
assistants to form an integrated system that aims to pave the students way
towards physics. Indeed, studying physics requires determination, perseverance,
and challenge, but, for sure, it is extremely useful, exciting, and interesting.
The department is currently carrying out a comprehensive
study to diagnose the students impression about physics and to correct the predominant
stereotype about this elegant specialization. In this context, certain programs
and initiatives will be carried out in order to attract outstanding and
talented students to develop their knowledge in physics at the undergraduate
level, to encourage them to complete graduate studies, and then to join the academic
staff of the department.
We welcome you all as you explore the website of the Physics
Department at male and female branch. This webpage presents information about
the department, related news, academic and research achievements, and
activities. Feel free to contact us. We appreciate your constructive comments
and feedback.
